About Lotto Max 7/52

Lotto Max is one of Canada's national lotteries, run by the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation and sold across the country through the five regional lotteries: OLG, Loto-Québec, BCLC, WCLC and ALC. The game launched in 2009, and since May 2019 it has drawn twice a week, on Tuesday and Friday after 10:30 p.m. Eastern Time.

The current format has applied since 14 April 2026. Each draw picks 7 numbers and a bonus number from 52, and one play holds four lines. There are nine prize tiers, from 7 matches down to 3. The jackpot starts at C$10 million and is capped at C$90 million. Once it reaches C$50 million or more, MAXMILLIONS draws of C$1 million each are added. Since 2026 there are also MAXPLUS draws: one for every million in the jackpot, each worth at least C$100,000.

The cap has risen step by step, from C$50 million in 2009 to C$90 million in 2026, and the jackpot can never exceed it. Since 2019 the numbers come from a random number generator certified by GLI, witnessed by auditors from Grant Thornton. A parallel control draw is run at Loto-Québec.

The Lottevo archive holds 1,283 Lotto Max 7/52 draws, from 25 September 2009 to 30 October 2026.

Since 13 April 2026, when the current format began, the most frequently drawn number is 43 (13 times), and the least frequent are 16, 20 and 27 (3 times each). Each draw is independent: past frequencies do not change the odds of the next one.
